The following logs are relevant to the fourth arc of OtherSpace: New Journeys, which kicked off in July 2005.

Arc Summary:

- The ISS Orphic, carrying Ian Penumbra's interstellar carnival, started touring the galaxy.

- Waldheim, Demaria, Sivad and Ungstir got infected by the Advanced Thul Resequencing virus, thanks to Volari and his crew aboard the Strategic Retreat.

- Demaria fell apart after Sivad's health service and other compatriots tried to help but ended up having to shoot some panicking infected Demarians who wanted offworld. Imperator Sharpeye Skygazer was deposed and thought killed. New Alhira fell into anarchy.

- Penumbra orbited Waldheim and offered the Orphic as a refugee ship and a staging ground for those seeking a cure for ATRV.

- Tens of thousands of infected Waldheimers were slaughtered in containment camps before a cure could be found.

- Once doctors aboard the Athena found a cure for the virus, with help from the Phyrrian Overmind, Sharptongue Sandwalker quit his job on the Athena ... and as the Athena departed the Orphic for Demaria, a bomb planted by Sandwalker exploded in the Athena's cargo bay, crippling the ship and delaying delivery of the cure to Demaria.

- The cure was ultimately distributed, thwarting Volari's efforts to turn the known worlds into havens for sluggified lifeforms.

- The Line of Pain, a border made from wreckage of ships destroyed by Nall warships over the centuries, began to disappear - vast amounts of scrap metal and components.

- The Orphic continued its journey around the known worlds, ending up on Ungstir after the plague's end.

- The Phyrrians announced they thought Ungstir was the likely location for Volari and his compatriots aboard the Strategic Retreat. They said they'd send elements of their new Decimator Fleet to investigate.

- Ian Penumbra was shot by a Nall in a cloaksuit while coming off the Orphic on Ungstir. That Nall died, but others in cloaksuits used the diversion to steal the Orphic.

- After the Orphic's theft, the Decimator Fleet arrived on Ungstir. Got mooned by Boomer. Conducted a thorough cavity search of Boomer. Departed Ungstir.

- The Orphic traveled to space near Nocturn to rendezvous with Volari and the Strategic Retreat. Using Orphic's in-flight refueling pumps, Volari topped off his ship's tank and took the Nall with him, leaving the Orphic back in the hands of its crew. The Orphic returned to Ungstir.

- The next day, as Penumbra continued to recover in a hospital on Ungstir, more Decimator Fleet ships arrived on Ungstir. This time, they delivered repair bots to revive PRTR-001 aboard the Athena.

- The Athena departed Ungstir. Using information provided by Sage Evesviia, Orphic's security chief, the Athena learned Volari was likely heading to Phyrria with a Coreseeker planet-destroying missile. Athena put out a call to warn the Phyrrians and seek help in dealing with Volari.

- At Phyrria, the full might of the Decimator Fleet was on view. Athena arrived, only to find comms jammed while Volari gloated via hologram. Remy LeBeau, aboard the Wolfsbane, arrived soon after.

- PRTR-001 was able to unjam the comm system.

- The Strategic Retreat uncloaked above Phyrria's north pole, fired the Coreseeker at the city of Task Matrix Central, and then fled. Decimator Fleet ships managed a grazing blow to the missile, so it didn't penetrate the core of the planet. But it did blow up much of the Phyrrian capital city. The Athena and the Wolfsbane blew up the Strategic Retreat, but not before it seemed Volari was able to teleport out of harm's way.

- The Phyrrians announced that, although the city was badly damaged, the Overmind survived. And all sentient organics should steer clear of Phyrria or face eradication.
