Fade

Ex-musician, after ending up stranded on New Luna, Fade spent a short amount of time working with the NLM, but finding it impossible to fit in there (as well as being seriously disturbed by being around so many weapons and angry people), he left that group as well, and spent some time living in tent in a secluded part of the forest on Deepcrest Island. He's since signed on with a non-military organization in the role of a pilot.

Physically, he's abnormally short and thin for a Timonae, with a giant mop of messily-multicolored hair and weirdly androgynous features. He dresses in whatever he can find, and having not much money to speak of, does his best to live off the land, despite the lack of any significant skills in that area.

Additionally, he often displays the mannerisms of a cat. Since he spent almost 10 years alone in space with only a domestic feline (real and/or imagined) for company, this is perhaps understandable.

Fade's past, which he does his best not to think about, is a rather dark one. Once the Timonese equivalant of a rock-star (and child prodigy), he became famous for his peculiar style, weaving epic songs together with experimental psionic feedback devices that let the entire audience -feel- the music. During a particular large concert, to an audience of tens of thousands, the psionic feedback device went haywire, possibly from sabotage by an unknown agent, and the resulting psychic meltdown not only killed the band members and over thirty thousand members of the audience, it also burned out Fade's mind, leaving him a complete wreck. Escaping into space (feeling it was safer to let everyone assume he was dead), he drifted aimlessly for almost a decade, alone, slowly recovering basic skills like thinking, speech, and eating. The fact that he seems so much like a child in present time (apart from his obviously diminutive size) is because after that incident, Fade's mind and emotions had to start over from a nearly-blank slate.

Since then, he has been exhibiting growing mental instability in certain situations, becoming increasingly paranoid and sociophobic.
