The Heirs of Helios were not the first group to take advantage of the Infomatrix to access, steal, and sell information with an ideological framework, but they are one of the most famous, and most enduring groups. Created in 3599, they claimed that no one group should be able to monopolize the Infomatrix medium. In practice, they used this as an excuse to justify stealing information. Today they exist primarily as an organization that similarly trades in information, with occasional reference to their former ideals.
The Heirs of Helios have some of the best intrusion, disruption, and acquisition specialists known to the Orion Arm, and have been known to teach some of their techniques to those who gain reputations of their own within the IM.
