[edit] Overview

Influence comes in a few different flavors in the world of Necromundus.

First, there's general Necromundus realm-wide influence, which can get you access to elite passage service, training halls, and stables in the city center.

Next, there are the various factions involved in the different realms (as well as those participating in special events, such as Freakfest and Ghouls Gone Wild).

Finally, we've got the all-time ultimate showdown between Good and Evil.

Type +influence <character name> for a report on how someone's doing in the reputation department.

[edit] Standard Influence

Earned with special vouchers that can be purchased with credits (or sometimes found as drops off monsters), the standard Necromundus influence is a general measure of your celebrity status in the realms. The more influence you've got, the more doors open up for you - special training halls, elite stables that sell fast, high-stamina mounts, and higher-paying passage routes.

The influence peddler NPC can be found in the Portal Plaza of Necromundus.

[edit] Factions

Several specific factions may provide you with a more nuanced style of influence:

  • Cataract: Special faction rating earned by completing repeatable missions in the Cataract realm.
  • Urland: Special faction rating earned by completing repeatable missions in the Urland realm.
  • Atrum Viscus: Special faction rating earned by completing repeatable missions in the Atrum Viscus realm.
  • Freakfest: Special faction rating earned by completing repeatable missions during Freakfest. (Resets to 0 each year.)
  • Fiendfest: Special faction rating earned by completing repeatable missions during Fiendfest. (Resets to 0 each year.)
  • Ghouls Gone Wild: Special faction rating earned by completing repeatable missions during Ghouls Gone Wild. (Resets to 0 each year.)
  • Brodybash: Special faction rating earned by completing repeatable missions during Brodybash. (Resets to 0 each year.)
  • Snow Days Festival: Special faction rating earned by completing repeatable missions during the Snow Days Festival. (Resets to 0 each year.)
  • Pirates Bazarrrr!: Special faction rating earned by completing repeatable missions during the Pirates Bazarrrr!. (Resets to 0 each year.)

[edit] Good vs. Evil

Goodness Tithe and Evil's Due vouchers drop off many creatures in the realm of Necromundus. Any character can pick these up and turn them in at special NPCs in the Portal Plaza. If you redeem a Goodness Tithe Voucher with the avatar of Goodness, you'll gain a point in Goodness and improve the influence of Good over the realms of Necromundus. If you redeem an Evil's Due Voucher with the avatar of Evil, you'll gain a point in Evil and improve the influence of Evil over the realms of Necromundus.

To see how the fight between Good and Evil is going, type +alignment. To see how your own internal struggle is going, type +alignment/me.
