[edit] Overview
Characters in Necromundus can progress as high as Level 50. With each level, a character gains Hit Points, Ability Points, Skill Points, and Focus Points.
Another benefit of leveling: Higher levels open access to better weapons and armor.
[edit] Where to Go
[edit] 1-5
Best to stick with the starter zones for this phase in your character's development. Do quests for Constable Feers that take you to the Necromundus Boneyard, the Opera House, and the Rotting Bog.
[edit] 5-15
The Cataract Portal is your best bet during this phase. The huntsman offers quests that take you to Southfield, Whisperwood Forest, Whisperwood Cave, and the shore of the Cataract River. You can also venture into the town of Whisperwood Hold for a few quests, although it's advisable to try this only after you've gotten to Level 15.
[edit] 15-25
Options increase some once you've reached this far in your character's evolution. They can stay in Cataract and hunt critters in the Impwood or Flamesire Bog or they can return to the Portal Plaza in Necromundus and journey through the Urland Portal. In Urland, characters will find quests that take them along the highway and into the old city ruins.
[edit] 25-35
Cataract is the most promising option for leveling at this point, although characters can group up for adventures in Urland's Agickin Theme Park.
A party can find adventures in Cataract's Bloodwalk dungeon (below the temple in Whisperwood Hold), while a solo character can hunt prey in Deathwatch Mire, the Spelunk, and (just barely) in the Blistering Wilds.
[edit] 35-50
Currently, the best solo option in the realms of Necromundus is the Blistering Wilds, a fierce desert environment in Cataract.
This region also includes a party-only dungeon called the Tomb of Ashkhaman.
Characters in their late 40s might want to return to the Agickin Theme Park in Urland to take on the final bosses beneath (and atop) Castle Drell, including the evil Meeka Mau and his minion, Colin Neidermeyer.
[edit] Tracking Progress
To find out how many total XP are required for a specific level, type +level <target level>.
To see where you stand in the pantheon of Necromundus adventures, type +heroes. The list updates on a daily basis.
